Trauma is anything that overwhelms your capacity to cope and respond, and leaves you feeling helpless, hopeless and/or feeling the need to control.
Traumatic conditions can occur in childhood and/or adulthood. Often, trauma from childhood can repeat in adulthood.
You don't have to live with the effects of your trauma. You can transform trauma and learn to deliberately create the life you want.
There's no quick fix and approaches that focus on the painful circumstances, generally don't work. But, with concentrated attention to feeling good and learning to think new thoughts, your emotions begin to shift, and everything along with them.
